Diiferent Recognition At Hotel Coffee House - Cinnamon

The name "Cinnamon" give us a chinese restaurant feel. But you are wrong, it is totally different that what you think. This is a coffee house located at One World Hotel in Bandar Utama. The hotel's coffee house situated a floor away from the main lobby was named after the spice.

Cinnamon Coffee House exuded the warmth of this sweet, woody and fragrant spice with the soft calm of earthy brown hues defining the ambience. The restaurant's kitchen and wait staff, handsomely dressed in brown shades, complemented Cinnamon's modern stylish interior further.

Three hundred and sixty jars of grains, pastas, spice and pickles, some in geometrical designs were also hard to miss.

Cinnamon (cinnamomum zelanicum), the aromatic yellowish-brown spice in the form of curled sticks or quills, is in fact dried bark of the cinnamon tree, a plant indigenous to Sri Lanka. It is famously used in Asian and Middle Eastern cooking and its effervescent character makes it a must in spiced breads, cakes and pies; why even coffee and tea gets on pretty well with it!

Panels of glass windows show the guys at work behind the scenes, busy preparing the food. The live-cooking kitchen concept is not new but is certainly popular and here, the show kitchen like the buffet line is pretty extensive.

Cinnamon's buffet is a marriage of international and local favourites with more than 130 dishes a day.

Dim sum, homemade soups, fresh oysters, grilled items, pasta, wood fired pizza, and sushi and the irresistible chocolate fountain are some regular features.

At the dessert section, the outlet's famed cheese cake, fruit tart and selection of local kueh come highly recommended.
